Radiation Oncology
Dr. Bhave is an Indiana licensed, board certified radiation oncologist. He primarily sees patients at Franciscan Health at the Indianpolis and Mooresville campuses. Dr. Bhave is also credentialed at several hospitals in the Indianapolis area.
Dr. Bhave graduated from Duke University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree where he completed a double major in biology and psychology. He earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine in 2014. During medical school, he completed a one year translational research fellowship in the laboratory of Dr. Dennis Hallahan where he investigated novel radiosensitizers and radiation inducible antigens. After medical school, he completed a transitional year internship at Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois followed by a four year radiation oncology residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center. While in residency, he conducted clinical research with Dr. Steven Chmura that investigated the combination of immunotherapy with stereotactic body radiation therapy. He also received a Master of Science degree from the University of Chicago in Public Health Sciences.
After completing residency in 2019, Dr. Bhave joined Cancer Care Group, P.C.
Dr. Bhave participates in professional societies and professional committees. Dr. Bhave enrolls patients in industry sponsored and cooperative group clinical trials and has authored multiple peer reviewed publications. He also serves as an alumni undergraduate interviewer for Duke University in the Indianapolis area.
